Why Athens
The question should not be why, but why not. Everything that made Athens a little too much effort has been reinvented, renovated or simply removed. It’s easier to get around, cleaner and greener than ever before and provided you can forgive a few dodgy pavements, creative car parking and plenty of noise and bustle, it should prove a unique European city visit.
To live in Athens is often described as a ‘challenge’ and a visit should be seen as that too. The good thing is that the rewards for seeing this particular challenge through far outweigh anything one must accomplish first. Just enjoy it and begin to realise that there is more to Greece than just the Acropolis and the islands.
