When it comes to city hotels, there are good locations and there are fantastic locations. When they're good, you can walk to the main attractions, when they're fantastic, you can almost reach out and touch them! The Athens Divani Palace Acropolis falls into the fantastic category, with the majesty of the Acropolis mere moments walk away or laid out before you from the window of your room.

It's not just the Acropolis either, it's everything which comes with it. The brand new Acropolis museum, the historic Plaka area and lively Monastiraki are all within a short stroll and should you wish to venture further, you can hop on the Metro at the Acropolis station and easily explore the city. The deluxe Divani Palace Acropolis hotel is part of the Divani collection, made up of seven hotels spread across Greece and her islands. At 250 rooms, it's a sizable hotel by Athens standards, but thanks to caring, friendly staff and excellent amenities, it feels far more personal and intimate than its room count suggests.

The residential setting means the Divani Palace Acropolis is quieter than the usual city centre hotel and guests shouldn't be bothered by noise at night thanks to the efficient glazing of the windows. Various room types are available, with the standards being a reasonable size with comfortable beds and pleasant furnishings. To be sure of the best view, you should select the Junior Suite or Executive room as although all rooms offer some view of the Acropolis, it may not be directly in front of your window if you do not specify one of these upgrades.

However spectacular, the views and location is not all there is to discover at the Divani Palace Acropolis hotel, as exploring the halls will uncover some ancient monuments on your very doorstep. On the lower level and discovered during construction of the hotel are sections of the Themistocle Wall, which once stretched from Athens to Pireaus, a distance of more than six kilometers. Venturing to the very top of the hotel leads you to the fantastic roof garden. Open throughout the summer, the restaurant serves Greek cuisine which can be enjoyed while gazing over towards the Acropolis. Dining is also available at the classy Aspassia restaurant, where breakfast, lunch and dinner is served.
