Not to be confused with its more centrally located sister property the Pelican Hotel, the Pelican Bay Art Hotel is to be found at Platis Gialos, the pretty and secluded bay some 10 minutes drive from Mykonos Town. If the bay itself is secluded, then the Pelican Bay is even more so as you do have a 5 minute stroll before you actually feel the sand around your toes and for this reason, your views are of the sea in the distance when staying at the Pelican Bay.

This isn't a bad thing, as even though Platis Gialos couldn't be called noisy or Mykonos party central, it does still have some music and plenty of people until late in the evening during the height of the season, so if you're looking for a romantic getaway with some quiet evenings in, the Pelican Bay Art Hotel should be just what you're looking for. In fact, take a look at some of their pictures and you'll see very little around the hotel to disturb.

There are 39 rooms in total, a surprisingly small amount given the larger area of land the hotel occupies, which are styled traditionally and colorfully. Furniture remains similar throughout, so the main benefit to selecting a higher room’s type is to benefit from the view which as mentioned earlier is of the gardens, Platis Gialos and the Aegean in the distance. For this reason, we wouldn't say the Pelican Bay Art Hotel has particularly luxurious accommodation, but it's not without its charms, especially the VIP room with its Jacuzzi bath.

Outside, in the hotel's grounds, there is a large swimming pool to enjoy if you aren't one for the beach, and a pleasant pool bar which will serve drinks and snacks throughout the day is on hand to keep you refreshed. A well equipped gym can be found near the pool for a holiday workout, complete with a sauna too. Although the Pelican Bay Art Hotel doesn't have a dedicated restaurant, there are several along the Platis Gialos promenade, or many more in Mykonos Town itself.
