We say this as many plan to make frequent visits to the famed Paradise beaches, which are not close to the Mykonos Princess hotel, so you either hire a car or prepare to for an extended journey by public transport to get there. If though, you like the idea of a quiet spot where you can relax and soak up the sun, Agios Stefanos's lovely clear blue waters and sandy beach should exceed your expectations. Walking into the small but rather homely reception, you'll be greeted by one of the friendly and helpful staff at the Princess of Mykonos hotel, who will check you in.

If you can, take the long way to your room as the corridors of the hotel contain all sorts of nautical antiquities and island trinkets within the cave-like walls and the cool, tiled flooring only adds to this very atmospheric walk. Outside, the tile turns to stone at the beautiful freeform pool, where plenty of sun loungers surround it, ready for you a little later on.

When selecting your room, we recommend one of the Suites, as the simple rooms are a little small and lack the increased luxury and special design touches found in the upper room type. The Suites often have wooden ceiling beams, fur poster beds with muslin curtains and a far better view of the sea too. The Princess of Mykonos offers breakfast down by the pool and has a restaurant on site with a menu of both Greek and international dishes served in the evenings. No matter where you are in the hotel, or at whatever time of day, the Princess of Mykonos truly embodies the look and style of Mykonos island, with its white walls, blue woodwork, exposed stone in the walls and, of course, when the sun is shining, plenty of sparkle on that pool.
