The Rochari hotel can be found just off the upper ring road which runs around the town, therefore a few moments after you leave it, you'll be in the midst of Hora life! Resplendent in the traditional blue and white , the Rochari is a friendly place which, in keeping with Mykonos generally, is gay-friendly and did have many adverts for gay clubs in town on display in reception. As a testament to the atmosphere and service found here, the Rochari boasts many guests who return year after year. Speaking to the manager of this family run hotel, the phrase '3-star hotel, 5-star service' was used to in response to the question of what a new guest should expect.

With 60 rooms and one suite, you can choose between a single, double or triple rooms type at the Rochari hotel. Aside from the single, each room has a balcony with a view over the rooftops out towards the sea and although they couldn't be called luxurious, they have a simple charm to them with their tiled floors and wooden furniture. The Suite is recommended either for anyone on their honeymoon or for parties of five thanks to its expansive layout. Boasting two balconies with wonderful town views, this room represents the pinnacle of accommodation at the Rochari.

Unusually for a central hotel, the Rochari has enough space for a very pleasant pool complete with umbrellas and sun loungers. This is a distinct advantage as if you want to visit a beach, you're going to have to travel outside of Mykonos Town so rather defeating the object of staying centrally, at least if you want to do it often. A pool bar is on hand to keep you refreshed, the sun terrace makes a wonderful place to take your breakfast and there is always the chance to order a snack during the day. Unfortunately, the Rochari doesn't have its own restaurant for evening meals, but again, with this much choice nearby, this shouldn't be a concern.

The Rochari hotel comes highly recommended for those wanting a comfortable, friendly hotel in the centre of Mykonos Town, without paying an exorbitant amount of money for the pleasure. The fact it has a pool is a considerable bonus, making it even more attractive.
