As you approach the beautiful town of Oia at the far end of Santorini island, one of the first hotel's you'll come to is the Nikos Villas, situated just on the outskirts of the town. Far enough away to make a peaceful getaway and close enough that after a 20 minute stroll you'll be in the centre of Oia, Nikos Villas is a collection of traditional houses built into the cliff side, something which isn't immediately apparent on arrival. However, after a few moments walk and of course, a few steps, you see the caldera and can settle into your room.

Whilst not what one would call luxurious, Nikos Villas in Oia is an example of how a classic Santorinian home would be. Built into the cliff and shaped like caves – all domed ceilings and seemingly hand smoothed walls – these quaint rooms are by design cool and airy, with little need even for air-conditioning unless Santorini is in full summer swing. The decor continues the traditional theme with local artwork, wooden furniture and familiar Santorinian weaves covering them. If you're wanting minimalist chic, then Nikos Villas is not for you, but if you want a taste of Santorini, then it could be just what you're looking for.

The apartments that accommodate 4 persons have a second bedroom, while the apartments that accommodate 3 persons have an extra bed in the sitting area. The studios can accommodate up to 2 persons.
